Go back to your consoles kid, every good PC game requires skill and thinking like this one. Halo, Call of Duty and moddern Battlefield. Originally posted by Hinsonator:At least it does what it sets out to do, unlike most AAA games nowadays, i can name 3 games like that. Those free ships are placed randomly in AP so you won't know where to find them. Terran Conflict makes you work harder for vast wealth but there are some free ships in the galaxy in fixed locations to make it easier to start if you know where they are. Albion Prelude is a bit lighter on the economic demands and has a stock market that can be manipulated easily to earn vast amounts of money.

Some of the campaigns in TC are extremely economy-focused so will require an enormous amount of economic activity to complete. That can give you more to do if you enjoy fighting larger ships but might be an annoyance if you are economy focused. Albion Prelude has much more warfare going on in the galaxy and there are M6 or higher class ships and military fleets in every other sector. Albion Prelude has the most advancements and features in it with the main ones being the stock market and player fleets, but it has a different campaign so you may prefer the campaign of one or the other more.
#X3 TERRAN CONFLICT OR ALBION PRELUDE BETTER INSTALL#
I am certain that you need TC installed to install AP and you may need it installed to play AP as well - not sure about that.Īlbion Prelude and Terran Conflict are very similar games but different experiences. The reason Albion Prelude is a DLC of Terran Conflict is because it installs in the same folder with TC and uses some of the files from TC. For instance, there's no dust cloud in Omicron Lyrae and the Goner temple has not been destroyed yet. You will see sectors in Albion Prelude that have been destroyed already in Terran Conflict. Albion Prelude is another game in the same universe, but its storyline campaigns are different from Terran Conflict and the universe has some changes to it because it is supposed to the events leading up to Terran Conflict I think. Buying Albion Prelude doesn't do anything in Terran Conflict.
